We?re seeking a well-presented, highly communicative Deskside Engineer to support a large-scale cabling audit and remediation project across our clients Dublin headquarters. This hands-on role is key to delivering a clean, modern, and efficient workspace for over 850 desks.
You?ll work closely with both IT and Facilities teams to assess, streamline, and standardize desk-side connectivity?ensuring a high-quality, clutter-free experience for their end users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform physical audits of desk cabling and hardware setups across all office floors.
- Remove outdated or redundant cabling and implement new, standardised setups.
- Apply best practices in cable management to improve reliability and visual presentation.
- Assist with troubleshooting connectivity issues related to cabling and end-user hardware.
- Liaise regularly with key stakeholders and provide clear progress updates.
- Contribute to documentation and setup guides for repeatable, scalable configurations.
What You?ll Bring:
- 2?3 years? experience in deskside support, infrastructure, or office fit-out projects.
- Solid understanding of cable routing, standards, and hardware setups.
- Ability to interpret basic floor plans and cable layouts.
- Comfortable working under desks and in physically active environments.
- High attention to detail and a methodical, tidy approach.
