Senior Automation Test Engineer ? Dublin (Hybrid, Permanent)
Salary: Up to ?75,000 per annum
Location: Dublin (Hybrid ? 3 days onsite)
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Automation Test Engineer to help shape the future of our cloud-native platforms. In this role, you?ll work closely with development teams to build robust automation frameworks, drive quality best practices, and ensure high standards across large-scale, mission-critical systems.

What You?ll Do
- Collaborate with software engineers to embed quality through automation, test coverage, logging, and monitoring.
- Design and implement automation frameworks with technologies such as Java, JUnit, or JBehave.
- Define QA standards, processes, and test strategies for cloud-native applications.
- Develop and execute functional, integration, and acceptance tests across microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and apply code coverage tools.
- Contribute to exploratory testing, performance testing, and security testing initiatives.
- Drive adoption of modern testing practices, tools, and methodologies across the engineering team.
What We?re Looking For
- 5+ years? overall experience in software testing and automation.
- Strong background in Unit, Functional, and Integration testing.
- Hands-on experience with Java-based automation frameworks (JUnit, JBehave).
- Experience testing microservices, event-driven applications, and databases.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevTestOps practices.
- Exposure to security testing and tools.
- Agile methodology experience; Chaos Testing knowledge is a plus.
- Background in real-time transaction systems (Authorization, Clearing, Reconciliation) is desirable.
