Software Engineer (.NET Focused) – Graduate / Junior Level

We are seeking a Graduate or Junior Software Engineer to join an innovative engineering team developing modern enterprise software solutions. This is an onsite role based in Kerry, offering strong mentorship and hands-on experience across backend, frontend, cloud and mobile technologies, with a primary focus on .NET development.
You will work closely with experienced engineers on real-world projects, gaining exposure to the full software development lifecycle while building scalable, high-quality applications in a collaborative technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend applications using C# and .NET technologies
- Build and support REST APIs and microservices
- Contribute to frontend development using modern JavaScript frameworks
- Work with cloud infrastructure, databases and containerised applications
- Participate in code reviews, testing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with engineering, product and QA teams on software delivery
- Troubleshoot technical issues and support performance improvements
- Gain exposure to mobile application development and cross-platform systems
- Follow best practices around clean code, maintainability and software design
Technology Stack
- Backend: C#, .NET Core / .NET 8
- Frontend: TypeScript, Angular or React
- Databases: MySQL and SQL technologies
- Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Git
- Mobile Exposure: Swift / iOS development
Skills & Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar discipline
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and software design principles
- Knowledge or academic experience with C#/.NET development
- Familiarity with Git version control
- Exposure to APIs, databases or cloud technologies
- Understanding of Docker or containerisation concepts is beneficial
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
- Enthusiastic attitude with willingness to learn across multiple technologies
Nice to Have
- Exposure to Angular, React or TypeScript
- Familiarity with Java, Kotlin or mobile development concepts
- Understanding of CI/CD or Agile development practices
- Exposure to modern software architecture concepts
