Full-Stack Django Developer - 3 month daily rate contract
My client are currently on the lookout for an experiencedFull-Stack Django Developerto support the lead developer on two key projects:
This is a full remote working role.
Project 1: Euro Currency Integration
- Enable support for Euros alongside GBP across the site, including display, selection, and transaction handling.
Project 2: Gamification System
- Build a modular quest and leveling system with:
- Multi-step quests
- XP-based progression and level rewards
- Per-user state tracking
- Admin interface for managing quests and reviewing progress
- Collaboration & Workflow
This is a hands-on, team-focused role.
You'll be expected to collaborate closely with the lead developer, join daily stand-ups and communicate actively to resolve blockers and share updates
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience using Django on front and back end.
- AI Automation
- Django models, querysets, views, templates
- JavaScript fetch and DOM manipulation
- Tailwind CSS or basic CSS
- macOS is preferredfor remote working. However, candidates with experience setting up and running Django with Docker onWindows or Linuxwill be considered
- Docker for local development
- JavaScript tooling (npm, Webpack)
Tech Stack
- Python, Django (models, views, templates, context)
- Django Templates, Vanilla JavaScript, HTML
- Tailwind CSS preferred (vanilla CSS also used)
- Docker, Node/npm (for assets and dev workflow)
- GitHub, daily collaboration with tech lead
- AWS experience
- Use of AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT)
