This role plays a critical part in optimizing cloud spend, improving cost visibility, and supporting financial planning through strong collaboration with engineering and finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze cloud spend across services, teams, and customers to drive cost transparency and control.
- Partner with engineering teams to define and implementtagging standards, and automate cost tracking using tools likeTerraformandAthena.
- Develop dashboards and detailed reports to track cloud expenditures, usage trends, and cost efficiency across multiple environments.
- Identify anomalies in usage or spend, and highlight savings opportunities based on real-time analysis.
- Collaborate closely with Finance and Engineering to supportbudgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisagainst actual cloud costs.
- Recommend and implement automation opportunities to streamline FinOps processes and reporting.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt new FinOps tools and techniques to improve operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ yearsof experience incloud infrastructure management, ideally in an AWS environment.
- 3+ yearsworking in aFinOps, cloud cost optimization, or financial analytics role.
- Strong understanding ofAWS servicesand cost management tools (AWS Cost Explorer, AWS CUR 2.0, Athena).
- Proven experience with:
- Cost optimization strategiesand savings identification.
- Tagging policy implementationand infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
- Cloud financial governance and anomaly detection.
- Advanceddata analysis and financial modelingskills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and finance teams to align business and technical goals.
