About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Software Product Owner to join our team. You will play a key role in driving product development and delivery, working closely with stakeholders, business teams, and development squads. This position is remote, but applicants must be based in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities

Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is clearly defined, prioritised, and aligned with business goals.

Translate business requirements into well-structured user stories and acceptance criteria.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and communicate the product vision.

Work closely with Agile teams, ensuring alignment with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) practices.

Participate in PI (Program Increment) planning, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and reviews.

Ensure features deliver real business value, balancing customer needs, technical feasibility, and delivery timelines.

Act as the key decision-maker on product functionality and priority within the team.

Monitor delivery progress and adjust backlog priorities as needed.

Advocate for agile ways of working and contribute to continuous improvement within teams.
Requirements

Proven experience as a Product Owner in a software development environment.

Strong understanding and practical experience with Agile methodologies and SAFe.

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, UX, and business stakeholders.

Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to articulate vision and priorities.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently while staying connected to a distributed team.

Must be based in Ireland with the right to work.
Nice to Have

Background in software engineering, business analysis, or product management.

Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
