Senior AI Software Engineer
€80,000 – €110,000 + bonus, pension, healthcare & life assurance
We are seeking an experienced AI Software Engineer to help build next-generation intelligent automation solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs) and modern AI technologies. This is an opportunity to work on high-impact AI systems that support complex business processes, while playing a key role in technical delivery, architecture decisions, and mentoring within the engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deploy scalable AI-powered applications and autonomous agent workflows
- Lead major technical initiatives from concept through to production rollout
- Build reliable, secure and maintainable software solutions using modern engineering practices
- Contribute to architecture decisions and evaluate technical approaches for complex challenges
- Collaborate closely with Product, UX, Engineering and Support teams to deliver high-quality solutions
- Drive best practices across coding standards, testing, documentation and CI/CD processes
- Mentor and support junior engineers through code reviews and technical guidance
- Contribute to sprint planning, technical discussions and knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Help shape the future direction of AI development within the organisation

Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years’ experience in software engineering, including significant AI-focused development
- 3+ years working directly with AI/ML systems in production environments
- Proven experience delivering real-world AI solutions beyond proof-of-concept stage
- Strong understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, context management and AI agent workflows
- Experience building production-ready autonomous or tool-using AI systems
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, containers and microservices (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Git)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to lead projects independently and work effectively across teams
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and RESTful APIsDesirable Experience
- Backend development using C#/.NET and Python
- Experience with APIs, databases and distributed systems
- Frontend exposure including React, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
- Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline preferred
